FENESTRATION BAU China premieres soon

Full halls at Fenestration China 2016

With the acquisition of “FENESTRATION CHINA” Messe München has taken another important step in enhancing its presence in the biggest construction market in the world, and in creating a counterpart to BAU in Munich. As already announced at BAU in January, “FENESTRATION CHINA” will in future form the core of the new “FENESTRATION BAU China” (FBC), which premieres in Shanghai from November 7 to 10, 2017.

Segments from BAU in Munich will also be included in the new event. In the “Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNIEC)”, the eight halls will feature national and international companies such as Hörmann, Hueck, Kin Long and Roto Frank, all of them offering high-quality solutions in the theme blocks of building materials, IT, facades, windows, buildings automation, building technology and doors.

Importantly, the expertise of “FENESTRATION CHINA” will remain and it will be supplemented by a competence team from Shanghai and Munich. The newly formed exhibition team had its first opportunity for exchange at BAU in Munich. BAU Congress China (BCC) will continue to be an integral part of FENESTRATION BAU China. Since 2014 BCC has facilitated BAU´s entry into China and raised the profile of the BAU brand in the region. In 2017, too, with the focal themes of “Tomorrow´s Urban Design”, “Future Building Systems” and “Projects for China”, the congress will enhance the exhibition´s portfolio and offer practical solutions tailored to the special characteristics of the Chinese construction market. Leading architects will be speaking at the congress, among them Wolf D. Prix from Coop Himmelb(l)au of Vienna, Prof. Kees Christiaanse from KCAP, Rotterdam, and Zhang Mingh of the Original Design Studio in Shanghai.

The FBC has a wide range of further highlights on its supporting program, in addition to the exhibition itself and the congress. These include the Fenestration Days China, which take place ahead of the show on November 5 and 6, a chance to find out about the latest developments in the Chinese real estate sector, and to talk to distributors. This combination of trade show and high-quality supporting program is unique for China.
